Completion of NAMA4PD training with second training block

Second and final part of the anti-disinformation training programme began

in March 2025 as a part of NAMA4PD. In this second part, participants were taught key skills for their future role as trainers, following on from the first training block, which focused on modules covering skills for combating disinformation and journalistic work. The programme consisted of three modules:

– Module 4 focused on didactic training and leadership skills
– Module 5 provided background knowledge on civil-military cooperation, which is particularly important for trainers in crisis and conflict regions. This module was supported by experts from the Civil-Military Cooperation branch of Eurocorps.
– Module 6 focused on the importance of building stable local and regional networks for the sustainability of countering disinformation.

This training block also concluded with a competency test.

Twelve of the fourteen participants successfully completed this test and the test from the first training block. In a closing ceremony, Matthias Duchscherer (President of PLA), Prof. John Kantara (PLA) and Prof. Dr. Martin Emmer (FU Berlin) presented them with their certificates as NAMA4PD trainers. The closing event also included an award ceremony for the successful concepts from the ideas competition that was announced in the first training block.

The winning concept proposed a moderated multimedia dialogue and information channel in Oussouye for the sustainable dissemination of reliable information, which is to be supervised by a certified trainer and operated cooperatively in the community.
