Narrative Management in Conflict Dynamics

Exploratory activities in Ghana, Gambia, Senegal and Togo in 2021, funded and supported by Hanns Seidel Foundation, laid the foundation for the further development and implementation of the NAMA4PD concept in West Africa and the Sahel region.

The feedback during discussions on Ministry, Directors and Civil Society level showed the relevance and need for the implementation of such a project.

First cross-sector and interreligious Narrative Management Workshop in The Gambia in October 2021.
Meeting with the Inspector General of the Gambian Police Force, discussing the relevance of the Narrative Management concept and the idea of Common Effort.

During the exploratory measures in September 2021 the Togolese Minister for Security got an introduction into the concept of Narrative Management in Conflict Dynamics. The Minister expressed his interest for an implementation of Narrative Management in Togo.
Workshops in Ghana and the Gambia build the foundation for the further development towards the NAMA4PD concept.
