Partners of the current NAMA4PD project met at Weizenbaum Institute
Berlin in February 2024 for a hybrid workshop, to plan the work packages for the next two years.
The one-day workshop took place at the invitation of Prof. M. Emmer. In addition to representatives from PLA, project partners from the Free University of Berlin and OTH Regensburg also took part.
The focus was on planning the three main parts of the project: a preparatory phase in which the state of scientific research on combating disinformation was to be compiled and adapted to the Senegalese context; a programme development phase with a train-the-trainer manual as the end product; and a testing and implementation phase in which the manual and the training measures developed were to be used as prototypes in a Senegalese community.
At the end of the workshop, a coordinated schedule, programme drafts for the workshops and a list of relevant partners to be involved in the further project steps were agreed upon.
