In March 2022, a team from Project Lighthouse Africa (PLA) and the George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen discussed the concept of Narrative Management and its relevance for West Africa and the Sahel. The Marshall Center expressed interest in possible cooperation with the PLA.
The Marshall Center is one of six regional centres of the US Department of Defense and the only bilateral centre. It is also the only regional centre for the Federal Republic of Germany.
As an instrument of German-American cooperation, the Center addresses regional and transnational security issues for the U.S. Department of Defense and the German Federal Ministry of Defense, and maintains contact with an extensive alumni network of security professionals.
